The Barnett Shale formation in the Fort Worth Basin of north Texas is the foundation for the company's growth. The company has leased approximately 275,000 net acres in this world-class basin, including more than 173,000 net acres within the company's defined core fairway. With less than 40% of the acreage in the core fairway currently developed, the company expects to achieve continued growth in production and reserves in Texas, where more than 5 trillion cubic feet of total potential resources have been identified.

The company also has more than 375,000 net acres leased in the Delaware Basin of west Texas and 105,000 net acres in the Green River Basin of northern Colorado, where exploratory efforts are currently under way.
