Quicksilver Resources reputation in the area of environmental stewardship is why it is often a preferred operator for field developments in wildlife preserves, golf courses, and municipalities.
A prime example took place at a private fishing preserve in northern Michigan which covers some of North America's most pristine forests and fresh-water habitats for trout and wildlife. The preserve's leadership learned that deposits of natural gas might exist under their land. The membership agreed that development of these resources would only be allowed if the local environment could be left essentially undisturbed and selected Quicksilver to develop these reserves. As a result of the Company's efforts, the preserve is now generating cash flow, enabling them to acquire additional acres in the area for the preservation of natural wildlife. Quicksilver exercises the same care in all its operations.
