Quicksilver settles all estate proceedings according to the laws of state in which the producing property is located. Please send notification of the deceased immediately to the Division Order Department and include the following information:

Name of the deceased, and Quicksilver's owner number(s)/payee code(s) if available
A certified copy of the death certificate
Name, address, and phone number of the executor, along with Letters of Authority if available
Name, address, and phone number of the estate attorney

The following information will assist us in determining the documents we will need:

Is there a Will?
Will there be Probate?
Was the deceased residing in the state where the producing property is located?
Was the deceased a joint tenant with rights of survivorship?
Was the mineral property owned as husband and wife on courthouse records?
Were there any deeds or conveyances that may affect ownership, such as a remainder interest? Or was the interest deeded into a Trust?

We will require documentation of the estate's distribution by a recorded conveyance in the county and state of the producing property (a deed or affidavit). Provide the names, addresses, and social security numbers of the heirs.
