Quicksilver Resources Inc. is an exploration and production company engaged in the development and production of long-lived natural gas and oil properties onshore North America. Based in Fort Worth, Texas, the company is widely recognized as a leader in the development and production from unconventional natural gas reservoirs including shale gas, coal bed methane and tight gas sands. Following more than 30 years of operating as a private company, Quicksilver became public in 1999 and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol KWK. The company has U.S. offices in Fort Worth, Texas; Glen Rose, Texas and Cut Bank, Montana. The company’s Canadian subsidiary, Quicksilver Resources Canada Inc., is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta.


 

Quicksilver Resources, through affiliates, is the general partner of and owns approximately 61% of Quicksilver Gas Services LP, a midstream master limited partnership engaged in gathering and processing natural gas produced from the Barnett Shale formation in the Fort Worth Basin of north Texas. Quicksilver Gas Services was spun out from Quicksilver Resources in August 2007 and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol KGS.

Quicksilver also owns approximately 33% of BreitBurn Energy Partners L.P., an independent oil and gas limited partnership traded on NASDAQ under the ticker symbol BBEP. The company now owns approximately 17.7 million units of BBEP.
